Syria Programme Fellow Awarded ‘Best Presentation’

Dr Abdulkader Rashwani is awarded first prize for ‘Best Presentation’ for his conference paper ‘Sustainable Reconstruction in Syria: Utilising Recycled Concrete Aggregate from War-Damaged Buildings’, by the 5th International Conference on Recycling and Reuse (R&R 2024) in Istanbul, 5-6 July 2024. This important study was a collaboration between Dr Rashwani and fellow Syrian academic and applied chemist Dr Bakry Kadan and colleagues from the University of Sheffield, Dr John Provis, Dr Theo Hanein and Dr Maurizio Guadagnini facilitated by the Cara Syria Programme.
