Professor Vince Emery

Professor Vincent Emery is President of the University of Hertfordshire’s branch campus in Egypt. Prof Emery obtained his BSc and PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Southampton. After postdoctoral work at Oxford, he was made a Professor of Virology at UCL in 2000 and was Pro-Provost (South Asia and the Middle East). In 2012 he became Senior Vice-President, Global at the University of Surrey. He has an H-index of 72 with over 17,000 citations. Prof. Emery is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology, the American Society of Transplantation, and is a donor to CARA and has been involved in reviewing grants for their Syria programme.
