Dr Juliet Millican is a freelance consultant working in the field of education, conflict and displacement. Her work covers the role of higher education in conflict, peace and resistance, participation and social change and the need to integrate development approaches into humanitarian response. She has recently been working on projects in Mongolia and Somalia and leads learning journeys for FCDO in Education and Conflict, Conflict, Environment and Stability and Systems Thinking. She has worked for over 20 years in international development and higher education, is an associate fellow at the Institute of Development Studies and heads up a small UK based NGO working on regenerative approaches to disaster and development. Juliet has also worked extensively in Higher Education in the UK, particularly in participatory action-research, experiential and reflective learning and the promotion of community/university partnerships. جولييت ميليكان Juliet Millican مستشارة مستقلّة تعمل في مجال التعليم والنزاع والنزوح. يغطّي عملها دور التعليم العالي في الصراع والسلام والمقاومة والمشاركة والتغيير الاجتماعي والحاجة إلى دمج مناهج التنمية في الاستجابة الإنسانيّة. عملتْ مؤخّرًا في مشاريع في منغوليا والصومال وتقود رحلات التعلّم لصالح FCDO في التعليم والنزاع والصراع والبيئة والاستقرار والتفكير في النظم. عملتْ لأكثر من 20 عامًا في مجال التنمية الدوليّة والتعليم العالي، وهي زميلة مشاركة في معهد دراسات التنمية وترأس منظّمة غير حكوميّة صغيرة مقرّها المملكة المتّحدة تعمل على الأساليب التجديديّة للكوارث والتنمية. عملت جولييت أيضًا على نطاق واسع في التعليم العالي في المملكة المتحدة، لا سيما في البحث العملي التشاركي والتعلّم التجريبي والانعكاس وتعزيز الشراكات المجتمعية /الجامعية. وهي المسؤولة عن أنشطة المسار الرابع في برنامج كارا الخاص بسوريا منذ آب 2018.
