RT3 Immediate & Future Challenges for Syrian Higher Education
Run in Istanbul, aimed to facilitate the development of strategies to support continued delivery of HE in northwest Syria. This is an area to which over two million Syrians have been internally displaced since the start of conflict in 2011, with the Turkish government planning to return a further million to the area over 2023, highlighting the importance of a functioning, quality HE sector in northwest Syria to counter the risk of radicalisation amongst youth by offering a tangible alternative.
