New media article referencing SP-supported research on environmental impact of war

Warfare ruins the environment – and not just on the front lines. A newly published article in The Conversation, authored by Syria Programme (SP) mentor, Prof. Jon Bridge/Sheffield Hallam, focuses on the environmental impact of war, including the Syrian conflict, references research by SP Fellows on soil pollution in NW Syria and a follow-on study to gauge and raise awareness of associated risks amongst local farmers and key actors in the area.
