Syria Programme Fellows to Present at Recycling & Reuse International Conference (5-6 Jul. 2024)

Dr Abdulkader Rashwani and Dr Bakry Kadan to present on their Cara Syria Programme supported study ‘Sustainable Reconstruction in Syria: Utilising Recycled Concrete Aggregate from War-Damaged Buildings’ at the 5th International Conference on Recycling and Reuse (R&R 2024) in Istanbul, 5-6 July 2024.

This critical work, being carried out in collaboration with colleagues from the Universities of Sheffield and Leeds, and the Paul Scherrer Institut PSI, was also featured by The Guardian Newspaper’s Environment editor, Damian Carrington, ‘Recycling rubble can help rebuild Syria faster‘.
